The last lecture of "American Culture and Values" is literally entitled "Why Capitalism Rocks!" Here's the description for the lecture:
This presentation will discuss the human and economic reasons why capitalism not only works but rocks, providing superior benefits to humanity in comparison to all other eco- nomic systems. The lengthy and rather miserable history of almost all human existence will be briefly explored. This long period of pretty crappy stasis was followed by an ex- plosion of wealth and freedom in just the past few hundred years. This explosive launch, often termed “The Great Enrichment”, is the most dynamic thing that has happened in human history. It has elevated and liberated, in a relatively very short time, a good deal of humankind out of the mud and from crippling disease, grinding subsistence, short life spans, and general misery, and it continues to do so for millions of people every year. This pro human explosion was a result of the growth of the radical concept of personal liberty and its companion free market capitalism. The reason why capitalism generally makes humans better people and why capitalism is more fun will be explored. The inherent inferior structural dynamics of the dominant competing economic models, alternatively termed collectivism, authoritarianism, Marx- ism, fascism, and communism according to its variants of large state control, will be dis- cussed as well.

La glossolalie (du grec ancien γλῶσσα / glỗssa, « langue » et λαλέω / laléô, « bavarder ») est le fait de discuter ou de prier à haute voix dans une langue ayant l'aspect d'une langue étrangère, inconnue de la personne qui parle, ou dans une suite de syllabes incompréhensibles[1]. Les linguistes la qualifient de vocalisation fluide de syllabes ressemblant à des paroles et qui n'ont pas de sens. Elle se distingue de la xénoglossie ou xénolalie qui est le fait de parler, sans l'avoir apprise, une langue existante[2]. Des phénomènes de xénoglossie ont été rapportés entre autres dans le christianisme, le chamanisme et le spiritisme[3].
